In an interview at the end of the second day of training with the team, Malcolm Brogdon heaped praise that the Boston Celtics are the best team he has ever played for.
“This team is probably the most talented team I’ve played for. It’s a similar cast to the Bucks, my third year in Milwaukee.” Brogdon said.
“But here, these athletes are a little further along in terms of stars ready to shine at the highest level than we were in Milwaukee,” Brogdon added.
The Boston Celtics have already started training for the 2022-23 season. The team, which made the finals last year, is now aiming to go even further this year.
Behind it, the Celtics added Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Galinari to make it even better.
Although Galinari has suffered an injury that will keep him out of the season, Brogdon is training at full speed.
The point guard averaged 19 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Indiana Pacers last season. However, the Indiana team didn’t even make the playoffs. It later ended up trading Brogdon to join the tank.
However, Brogdon has already disclosed the court with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.
It is true that it was in a different time, where Giannis was not so dominant. Also, the Bucks still didn’t have a Jrue Holiday.
However, it was to be expected that Brogdon would need more time to place Boston as the best team he was a part of.
The Celtics came to 2022-23 with great drama surrounding the franchise. Recently, coach Ime Udoka was suspended for a season.
Furthermore, the reasons do not seem clear, not even to the players themselves. In addition, assistant Joe Mazzulla will lead the team on an interim basis.
Brogdon about his role in the new team. After all, the point guard stops being a protagonist to sacrifice himself for the benefit of the collective, in the search for the title.
“I came to Boston to win. I will accept any role that is assigned to me. They know what I can do, they know what I’ve done.” Brogdon said.
“I will do whatever is necessary. It’s all about conquering banner 18 (title). In the end, that’s all that matters.” he added.
