Knicks Owner Sued for Sexual Assault

New York Knicks owner James Dolan is the subject of a sexual assault and human trafficking lawsuit.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, the accusation was made by a masseuse. The case would have occurred at the end of 2013.

According to the complaint, the victim, Kellye Croft, met the Knicks owner shortly before a tour by the legendary rock band The Eagles.

According to the whistleblower, Dolan got her a job as a masseur for guitarist Glenn Frey, founder of the Eagles and who died in 2016.

At the time, the billionaire’s musical group – JD & The Straight Shot – was going to open some shows for the Eagles, in California.

Croft then revealed that she was forced to have multiple sexual relationships with the Knicks owner.

Furthermore, Dolan allegedly arranged for the masseuse to meet with his friend Harvey Weinstein, a Hollywood executive.

In January 2014, Croft claimed that she was sexually assaulted by the renowned producer. A friend of the Knicks owner, Weinstein has a history of sexual assault. After all, he was accused of harassing and abusing several women.

Weinstein is serving a 23-year prison sentence imposed by a New York court. Afterwards, he will still have to serve another 16 years, due to another sentence, but from the Los Angeles Court.

In the lawsuit, Croft seeks compensation for pain and mental anguish, lost wages and attorney fees, among others, in addition to punitive damages.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, claims the masseuse was 27 when she met Dolan, who was 58 at the time.

According to the alleged victim, Dolan was unsympathetic when he found out about the rape committed by Weinstein.

When asked about the sexual assault accusation against James Dolan, NBA commissioner Adam Silver was short and blunt.

“I saw the article and I don’t know anything else about the case. In other words, what I know is what I read in the article.” Silver said.

“So, at this point we will wait and wait to find out more information.” Silver added.

According to E. Danya Perry, Dolan’s attorney, Croft’s accusations have no merit.

“Firstly, there is absolutely no merit to any of the allegations against Mr. Dolan. Kellye Croft and James Dolan, in fact, had a friendship.” Perry said.
