Repsol Honda Rider Marc Marquez Expresses Optimism for a Successful Season

The Repsol Honda Team on Wednesday presented the new livery for the 2023 MotoGP season.

Marc Marquez seems to be fully fit again for the first time since the start of 2020, but the question is whether his Honda RC213V can also compete against the competition.

The 30-year-old rider even considered retiring in recent seasons, but after the fourth operation on his upper arm, performed in Rochester in the United States, things are moving in the right direction again.

Marquez revealed that he is nearly 100% healthy again during the three-day official MotoGP test at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, but that the current Honda RC213V is not yet a championship-winning machine.

The six-time MotoGP champion admitted that his team would still need to keep working in the garage to improve the 2023 Honda MotoGP bike to ensure it is capable of winning throughout the season.

“The bike looks great again this year! I’m really looking forward to riding in full Repsol Honda Team colours again at the test at Portimao in Portugal. It’s great to be here with the whole Repsol family, who have supported me and the team for so long.” Marquez said.

“It will be an important test in Portimão because we still have some work to do, but the technicians have been working hard in Japan.”

“I can’t wait to keep working and start this season, I feel fit and ready to race.” Marquez added.

The two-day official MotoGP test at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimao, Portugal, will take place over the weekend of March 11 and 12. It is the last opportunity for riders and teams to test major things before the 2023 season starts in Portimão on the weekend of March 24-26.
