PSG Boss Christophe Galtier Issues Statement Feud between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe

During a press conference, Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier has reacted to the new feud between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe during a Champions League match against Juventus on Tuesday night.

Mbappe had the opportunity to pass the ball to Neymar, who was free to score but chose to finish off balance during the match.

“I talked about it with Kylian and I think they talked about it together with Ney. The action takes place in two stages.” Galtier said.

“At first, it’s difficult for Kylian to make the pass. In the second phase, he doesn’t see (Neymar). When you see the pictures, it looks easy, but in action it’s more difficult. I haven’t felt any tension since then.” Galtier added.

Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG over Juventus after a great assist from Neymar. However, there was no return of kindness in the second half.

Neymar and Mbappe were starred in a feud t about who would be the team’s official penalty taker at the start of the season.

Galtier said that Mbappe was in charge, although in the start of the season, Neymar had already converted two charges.

“Kylian Mbappe was the number one penalty taker and Neymar was number two. Neymar made the decision to take the penalty after talking with Mbappe. Kylian congratulated him, that’s how it should be.” Galtier said.

Mbappe meanwhile gave insight on his relationship with Neymar about who can take all penalties for PSG.

“I don’t know [who would take a penalty against Juventus], we’ll see. We have to see how it goes during the match.” Mbappe said.

“Being first-choice doesn’t mean you’re going to take all penalties. You have to know how to divide the cake.

“It is my sixth year with Neymar. We have always had a relationship like this, based on respect.” Mbappe added.
