Jose Mourinho Hopes to Win Many More Titles with AS Roma

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is keen to win many more titles with AS Roma in the 2022/23 season.

The Portuguese manager became the first manager ever to lift the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy after his Roma side beat Feyenoord in May.

The result sees “I Giallorossi” win their first trophy in 14 years, having last tasted silverware when they won the Coppa Italia in 2008.

With players like Paulo Dybala, Tammy Abraham, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Andrea Belotti, among others, Mourinho felt Roma have an outside shot at winning the titles.

The Serie A season continues this weekend with Inter Milan taking on Roma in an important match at the San Siro on Sunday.

“It’s impossible for me to choose between my victories. Each of them is special and every trophy is unique in its own way.” Mourinho said.

“Milan and Rome are the two main cities in Italy. The former is the economic engine, the latter the center of the political power and an open air museum of the history of the country.

“I’m lucky for having had the opportunity of living in both. Important chapters of my career have been written in great stadiums like Olimpico and San Siro.” Mourinho added.

Roma are currently in sixth place in the Serie A standings and have been fairly impressive so far this season. The Giallorossi suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Atalanta in their previous game.

Mourinho will miss the important game at Inter because, as the Serie A has revealed, he will serve a regular one-match suspension.

The Sporting Judge has issued a decision about the incident involving Mourinho and match official Chiffi that happened during the second half of Roma vs Atalanta. This decision will affect the Roma’s upcoming league against Inter on Sunday.
