Jaylen Brown Slams Refereeing in Celtics’ Defeat

Jaylen Brown spent time fuming about the refereeing of the game since Celtics was trounced by the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

The Bulls won 117-108 to the Celtics on Thursday evening, but the match was not without a controversy. In this game several technical fouls were made near the end of the game, and the Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla charged at the official.

Therefore, as it was mentioned, after the Celtics are defeated, Brown did not hesitate to blame the match referees.

In that regard, the forward informed the public that he felt threatened after challenging the referees decisions.

“I told (Van Duyne), ‘You gave a technical for no reason.’ He said, ‘If you say that again, I’m going to give you another one,’” Brown told reporters after the game.

“You can’t threaten players with a technical foul, that’s not part of the game either. If you want to fine players for gestures and stuff, fine, fine them for that. But it sucks,” Brown added.

However, in own report of the game the refereeing panel mentioned that Brown was given the technical foul on the floor due to his conduct during the game.

“He [Jaylen Brown] questioned our integrity several times during the same sequence,” the referee said.

Then, Joe Mazzulla was subjected to questions about how he felt at the end of the game. However, he only said this sarcastically.

The Celtics coach really had some nerve to comment that he was only wishing the referees merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Furthermore, the coach also came out and had something to share a brief and rather rude remark about the performance of the referees during the match.

The Celtics will travel to Chicago and both teams will meet again on Saturday night.
