The Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night have no difficulty beating the Golden State Warriors by 131 to 110. Dominant from start to finish, the Tennessee team was not behind the scoreboard at any time.
In Ja Morant’s sidelined, point guard Tyus Jones took charge of the team. The 26-year-old finished with 22 points, 11 assists and three stolen balls. Moreover, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane each contributed 21 points for the home team.
On the other hand, Stephen Curry was the scorer of the game with 29, but could not avoid the third consecutive defeat of the Warriors.
The match also featured a meeting between Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks. The two have been exchanging barbs on social media.
Incidentally, the rivalry between the Warriors and Grizzlies is one of the fastest growing in the NBA. The young team from Memphis emerges as one of the strengths of the Western conference, dominated by the Californian team in the last decade.
The Warriors won the teams’ first two games of the season, but the Grizzlies could still tie the series. The teams face each other again on March 18, again at the FedEx Forum. At this point, incidentally, the teams would face each other in the first round of the playoffs.
In the other games of the night, the Sacramento Kings held the reaction and won the New York Knicks.
In Milwaukee, Brook Lopez distributed nine blocks and helped the Bucks overcome the Brooklyn Nets. The round still had wins for Charlotte Hornets, Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz.
