Kuzma Breaks Silence on NBA Trade Rumours

There are names in the NBA that have been rumoured for trade, and one such name is Kyle Kuzma.

Kuzma is on a rebuilding team, so they see him as a name that can help bolster a championship contending franchise.

That means a number of teams should be interested in picking them up before the trade deadline on February 6.

Kuzma, though, has not commented on the trade rumours yet. The news has been floating around for weeks now, but he waited to speak until this week.

The Washington Wizards player did not detail what exactly is happening but didn’t deny he could leave the team, in an interview with the Washington Post.

“We’ll see how things play out. Last year, it was the right time to stay after signing the contract. However, it was more of a matter of last season,” Kuzma said.

“We haven’t had any new conversations, we haven’t talked about being traded. So this is the first time I’m talking about it,” Kuzma added.

Kuzma re-signed with the Wizards last season as a power forward. First this year, he’s on a four year deal worth $90 million. But he probably won’t be at his current team when their season ends.

Te Washington team believes Kuzma is a very important man on the market because of his value.

The board is, according to Marc Stein of the Substack platform, ready to finally trade him in order to keep rebuilding the squad.

“The growing belief around the NBA is that the Wizards are eager to trade Kuzma in the next six weeks.” Stein said.

“He also wants out, given that the franchise is 4-22 and barely trying to be competitive as the draft approaches, which is stacked with talent,” Stein added.

Meanwhile, Wizards should have no problem trading Kuzma before the Draught. According to Brett Siegel from Clutch Points by least five teams would be interested in trading for him in December.
